This just in… Fox New Channel’s Bill O’Reilly has reportedly been fired from Fox News!

According to New York Magazine, the network has decided that Bill will leave before his scheduled return from vacation on April 24.

The firing was allegedly greenlighted by CEO of 21st Century Fox, Rupert Murdoch.

We can’t say the news came as a surprise, following the reports of sexual harassment allegations, which led to multiple advertisers getting pulled from his hit show The O’Reilly Factor — allegations that ultimately cost 21st Century Fox nearly $13 million in settlement fees over the years.

Now, everyone is kinda twiddling their thumbs as to how his departure is going to unfold.

Tomorrow, 21st century is to hold a regularly scheduled board meeting where — we think — Bill’s situation will be discussed, though the meeting’s agenda isn’t public.

“Bill O’Reilly has been subjected to a brutal campaign of character assassination that is unprecedented in post-McCarthyist America,” said his attorney Marc Kasowitz in a statement. “This law firm has uncovered evidence that the smear campaign is being orchestrated by far-left organizations bent on destroying O’Reilly for political and financial reasons. That evidence will be put forth shortly and it is irrefutable.”

The host has been on a previously scheduled vacation in Italy since mid-April, and during that time, viewership declined nearly 23 percent, while his favorability rating among viewers went down to 73 percent (from 80 percent the prior week), NBC News points out.

Since sexual assault allegations arose from Fox New Chairman and Chief Executive Roger Ailes, who resigned last year, Fox News has been unable to sequester the constant backlash from viewers. Some have even called it a “training ground for sexual harassers.”

Perhaps this is a case of classic karma?
