Following the death of his David Letterman’s mother Dorothy Mengering, a regular on his late night talk show, the host was spotted celebrating his “low-key” 70th birthday this week in Tribeca at American Cut.

According to sources at Page Six, the birthday dinner happened with his wife Regina and son Harry.

The sighting itself was rare, as David is hardly ever seen in New York City anymore since retiring in 2015.
