LGBTQ Activists Had a Dance Party on Mike Pence’s Front Lawn
Last night, Mike Pence was welcomed by nearly 200 LGBTQ activists dancing in front of his house to send a message about the importance of love, acceptance (and twerking).
The event was organized by WERK for Peace and DisruptJ20. The dance party sported a plethora of rainbow flags of course, glitter, and an overwhelming amount of diversity.
“We had a dance protest in response to the bigotry and hate that Mike Pence purports through his policies and actions,” WERK for Peace’s founding organizer Firas Nasr said to Fox 5. “We had hundreds of people come out to assert our bodies and space and state that we are here, we are queer and we will dance.”
And dance they did…

Police blockaded the way about a block from Pence’s, but stood by calmly. “Just as the police would do in any democratic country.” —Nasr pic.twitter.com/YPzLhsmAZz
