Julia Louis-Dreyfus Made History at the Emmys Last Night!

Julia Louis-Dreyfus has won the most Emmys for a single role than any person in history — as of last night.

The star of Veep, which is ending this season, took a jab at Donald Trump: “We did have a whole storyline about an impeachment, but we abandoned that because we were afraid someone else might get to it first.”

This year marks Julia’s sixth win for portraying Selina Meyer, the VP-turned-President of the United States.

Before, she’d been tied with Don Knotts and Candice Bergen for five Emmys for their roles on The Andy Griffith Show and Murphy Brown.
