After the new Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay, was revealed before she even left The Bachelor, not much could shock ‘Bachelor Nation’. But John Mayer becoming the next contestant looking for love might just do the trick!

The singer stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, and confessed his obsession with the reality franchise. But would he ever be on board?

“I think it would be really fun to be the Bachelor,” John told Ellen. “[But] I don’t think I would find love there, unless they would change the vetting process for who would be the contestants.” He also has little faith in what he would bring to the show, saying if he signed on, “I think it would be one of the lowest-rated shows.”

Though he enjoys the show, John admits he stopped watching this season with Nick Viall pretty quickly. He said, “I watched the first couple [of episodes]. I love the show, but it’s too much time to ask of me — two hours is a lot of quiet time. I’ll pay $50 if you just show me the entire season in 30 minutes. Get me the helicopters, girls crying, girls crying on helicopters. If you get tears in flight, that is prime stuff.”

The “Love On The Weekend” singer performed his new song, “Moving On and Getting Over” and announced that The Search for Everything Tour will be extended through the summer. Take a listen!
