Rachel Lindsay is a current contestant on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor.  I guess we can assume she’s going home soon because she was announced as the first ever black lead on the franchise.  #Finally

Rachel is a fan favorite, and many thought she was going to be Nick’s wife since she received the first impression rose.

While the news has not been spoken about by ABC, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed it.

Out of 33 combined seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, there has never been a black male or female cast as the lead.

The star of the next season is usually announced after the current season wraps, but ABC is breaking the mold in a few ways.

Rachel is a lawyer from Texas who is about to get broken up with tonight… then go on to make history!
