Kelly Clarkson Says Her Children Are in Therapy to Help Deal With The Divorce

Kelly Clarkson revealed in a joint interview with former The Voice co-coach, Gwen Stefani, that her children are in therapy following her divorce from Brandon Blackstock.

The singer shares daughter River Rose, 6, and son Remington Alexander, 4, with Brandon.

“We have a lot of help as far as therapists or child psychologists because we want to do it right,” she explained to Extra. ”I definitely want to do it right. Everyone’s sad and it’s okay to be sad.”

She continued, “It’s just one day when you’re like, ‘Wow, this has forever changed and it’s not just my heart [that] has changed, there’s other little hearts, too.”

Gwen — who shares sons Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 6 with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale — credited Kelly for “doing a really great job.”

“I think it’s hard to be a public person, but now that you add in a family … they didn’t choose it,” Gwen added.

Divorce is never easy. We’re praying for her family.
