We all gotta start somewhere!

Before the success of Keeping Up with Kardashians, Khloé Kardashian was Nicole Richie’s assistant. Now the reality star is opening up about the former gig during an appearance on the Emergency Contact podcast, during which she also recalled how she met co-host Simon Huck.

“I was Nicole Richie’s assistant and you were Jonathan Cheban’s assistant and we met five faces ago,” she quipped, referencing plastic surgery.

Khloé, alongside best friend Malika Haqq, said that she didn’t work for Nicole for “long.”

“I went to school with her,” she explained. “She was one of my best friends growing up and we were just really, really close and then when she started doing Simple Life — I think it was after Simple Life — she just needed some help and I just needed a job.”
