Jussie Smollett Wants the Courts to Dismiss His Case

Jussie Smollett is requesting that a Chicago court dismiss charges against him.

According to court documents, the actor is arguing that the grand jury testimony that led to his second indictment is invalid based on “illegal and incompetent evidence” gathered from Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo during the initial investigation.

Of course, the Osundairo brothers have long claimed they were paid by the actor to stage a hate crime against him because he was unhappy with his salary on Pose.

Chicago Judge Michael Toomin ruled that the case was invalid in February 2019, explaining that everything about the case from that day forward was null and the case needed to be reinvestigated by a special prosecutor. Additional charges were made in February of this year.
