‘Ratched’ Trailer Shows Sarah Paulson at Her Best!

Not going to lie: we’re actually so stoked for Netflix’s Ratched.

The Ryan Murphy-produced series tells the origin story of Nurse Mildred Ratched, the iconic character from One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest

Sarah Paulson stars as Nurse Ratched, who arrives in 1947 Northern California to seek employment at a leading psychiatric hospital where new and unsettling experiments have begun on the human mind.

One such experiment is the lobotomy, as seen in the trailer.

“Ladies and gentlemen, you’re about to witness history,” Jon Jon Briones’s character, Dr. Richard Hanover, says in the clip. “I present to you the lobotomy. Juvenile distraction, lesbianism, mania — all of these maladies can be reversed.”

“But then, aren’t we playing God?” Cynthia Nixon’s Gwendolyn Briggs says. “Aren’t we saying there’s one feeling that’s right and another feeling that’s wrong?”

Ouch! Looks like there’s going to be some serious moral questions in the series. Of course it’s also going to include fierce cinematography and acting.

We can’t wait! The series debuts September 18 on Netflix.
