Josh Groban Gets Restraining Order Against Crazed Female Fan

It’s been reported that Josh Groban has obtained a temporary restraining order against Shawna Marie Laing, a fan who had allegedly been harassing and threatening the singer since 2011.

TMZ reports that the singer has been granted a five-year restraining order against Shawna, who must stay at least 100 yards away from Josh, family, and his girlfriend, Schuyler Helford, 29.

Court documents state that Shawna had sent Josh a slew of disturbing sexual messages and even left a package at his home in May that included a small skull and more sexually graphic handwritten notes.

One of her packages included a message saying, “You wanna try honoring the home we’re going to have children in by not f–king other women in it.”

Reportedly, Josh met Shawna in 2001 through a mutual Facebook friend and began flirting online.

A date was arranged but the singer cancelled due to feeling unwell. She immediately began harassing the singer, leading him to rule out ever meeting her in person.

Ouch! This sounds like a scene right out of Fatal Attraction. We’re happy the courts granted him the order.
