Andrew Lloyd Webber Takes Part in COVID Vaccine Trial

Andrew Lloyd Webber is focusing on reopening Broadway theaters as soon as possible.

Yesterday, the renowned composer took a photo of himself participating in an early COVID-19 vaccine trial at Oxford.

“Just completed the Oxford Covid-19 vaccine trial,” he wrote. “I’ll do anything to get theatres large and small open again and actors and musicians back to work.”

Andrew announced he would be participating in the trial earlier this week. The trial is being developed by the University of Oxford and pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca.

As we previously reported, the pandemic halted all Broadway shows in March and the shutdown has been extended until January 2021.

Theaters in the West End have also been shuttered amid the pandemic.

Let’s pray that we all have a vaccine soon!
