‘Real Housewives’ Star Candiace Dillard Apologizes For Homophobic Tweets

Real Housewives of Potomac star Candiace Dillard is sorry for the past.

The reality star wrote on Twitter this week how sorry she was for tweets she made nearly 10 years ago.

“I am still evolving,” she also wrote. “The language I used carelessly wasn’t acceptable back then, and it isn’t acceptable now. I acknowledge that my words were hurtful, and for that I am deeply sorry.”

She concluded, “While I’ve personally experienced the pain of disenfranchisement as a Black woman, I will never know firsthand the hurt many LGBTQIA+ people experience from pervasive discrimination, family rejection, barriers to employment, homelessness, homophobia, transphobia and more.”

Well, we’ve all evolved in the last decade. The only thing we can hope for is to make better choices today.
