Disney just announced that Mulan will premiere on Disney Plus on September 4 for a rental price of $29.99, instead of its initial plan for a theatrical release, due to the pandemic.

According to reports, the studio had set up a huge red carpet premiere at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on March 9, but just three days later, the industry closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic forced the company to postpone.

Now, it’s postponed indefinitely — at least from theaters. We are so sad this had to happen!
