Despite ViacomCBS firing Nick Cannon over his recent anti-Semitic comments on his YouTube series Cannon’s Class, Fox is still employing him as host for one of their biggest shows, The Masked Singer.

“Nick has sincerely apologized, and quickly taken steps to educate himself and make amends,” Fox said in a statement yesterday. “On that basis and given a belief that this moment calls for dialogue, we will move forward with Nick and help him advance this important conversation, broadly.”

“You can’t be anti-Semitic when we are the Semitic people,” Nick said in response to his firing at CBS, justifying his comments by saying that Black people are also Semitic. “That’s our birthright. So if that’s truly our birthright, there’s no hate involved.”

Following Nick’s firing, Diddy offered him a job at Revolt TV.

@NickCannon come home to @REVOLTTV truly BLACK OWNED!!!” Diddy tweeted on Wednesday alongside a fist and heart emoji. “We got your back and love you and what you have done for the culture. We are for our people first!!! For us! By US! Let’s go!!!”

Wow. Well, hopefully this situation will create more dialogue about what anti-Semitism actually is.
