Lea Michele’s Tribute to Naya Rivera and Cory Monteith
Lea Michele paid tribute to Naya Rivera and Cory Monteith, her former Glee costars who have since passed away.
During his life, Cory and Lea were an item. Naya’s body was found yesterday, which happened to coincide with the seventh anniversary of Cory’s death by an overdose.
On her Instagram story, Lea posted three photos: one of Naya, another of Cory holding a bouquet of flowers, and a third of the entire Glee cast at the beach.
In Naya’s memoir Sorry Not Sorry, she wrote that she and Lea were like “two sides of the same battery” and “not a good mixture.”
“She had a hard time separating work from our outside friendship, whereas it was a lot easier for me,” Naya wrote. “Lea was a lot more sensitive, though, and it seemed like she blamed me for anything and everything that went wrong.”
We’re happy that Lea is using her platform to keep Naya’s memory alive. She will be missed by an entire generation.
