Talk about friendship!

According to The Daily Mirror, Katy Perry has tapped her longtime pal, Jennifer Aniston, to be her unborn daughter’s godmother.

The pop star is just weeks away from giving birth to her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom, and apparently, Jennifer broke down in tears of joy when the couple asked her to step into the role.

“She is pretty chuffed about it as well and cried when they asked her,” a source told the paper.

Katy and Jennifer have been friends for years and have bonded even further during the pandemic.

“Katy and Jen are very close. During lockdown they went for socially-distanced walks, and spent lots of time catching up,” the source added.

Of course, Jennifer is already a godmother to Courteney Cox’s 16-year-old daughter Coco.

What a lucky kid!
