Laverne Cox Is Auctioning Off Her Emmy’s Clutch to Support LGBTQ+ Charity

Laverne Cox is auctioning off a very special  — and iconic — accessory she carried on the 2019 Emmy Awards red carpet.

The best part? She’s donating all of the proceeds to a very special cause.

The actress will be auctioning the rainbow acrylic Edie Parker clutch she wore to the Emmys starting today on Charitybuzz. The auction will last two weeks, starting at $0.

According to Vogue, it’s expected to sell for thousands and all of the money raised will be donated to the Anti-Violence Project, a nonprofit that works to keep LGBTQ+ communities safe and supports survivors of abuse through counseling and advocacy.

Gotta love Laverne!
