Following her split from husband Brandon Blackstock, Kelly Clarkson’s cover of Aretha Franklin’s 1967 hit, “Chain of Fools” is landing even deeper.

In a clip posted to the singer’s YouTube channel Kelly is seen belting out the song’s iconic lyrics, “I ain’t nothin’ but your fool, Ya treated me mean, Oh you treated me cruel.”

As we previously reported, Kelly filed for divorce from Brandon after nearly seven years of marriage.

The couple shares two children, River Rose, 5, and Remington Alexander, 4.
