A detailed new biography by Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post journalist Mary Jordan is showing Melania Trump in a different light.

In The Art of Her Deal, released this week, Mary recounts a tense interaction from late 2016 between Donald Trump and Melania after his campaign team learned of the infamous Access Hollywood tape.

In the audio tape from 2005, Donald is heard bragging about grabbing women’s genitals.

According to the book, Trump’s aides understood the importance of Melania’s response and started watching an old 60 Minutes interview in which Hillary Clinton joined husband Bill Clinton after allegations of an affair stained his 1992 presidential campaign.

The Trump campaign apparently wanted her to show support in the same way.

But… Melania was like, no way Jose!

“When Melania eventually joined the strategy session, she had a one-word reply: ‘No.’ She said she would decide on her own what to do,” Mary writes in her book. “And right now she was not going on television with her husband.”
