Vanessa Bryant Wants Hundreds of Millions in Wrongful Death Suit
Vanessa Bryant is reportedly seeking hundreds of millions of dollars in a wrongful death lawsuit against the helicopter company and the estate of a pilot involved in the January crash that killed her husband Kobe Bryant and daughter, Gianna.
According to The Blast, the suit was filed in February.
Vanessa claims the pilot Ara Zobayan, who also died, failed to obtain weather data before taking off. She also said he failed to cancel the flight after learning of the poor weather conditions.
“As a result of Kobe Bryant’s and GB’s deaths, Vanessa Bryant seeks economic damages, non-economic damages, prejudgment interest, punitive damages, and other relief as the Court deems just and proper,” court papers state, according to the outlet.
Wow. This is a pretty big ask, but hopefully real peace can be found outside of the courtroom. We’re praying for Vanessa and her family.
