Former NFL Wide Receiver Reche Caldwell Shot Dead at His Tampa Home
We’re sad to report that former NFL wide receiver Donald “Reche” Caldwell was shot and killed in Tampa, Florida, according to News Channel 8.
His mother Deborah told the channel that Donald was shot in the leg and chest at his home as he was heading out on a date with his girlfriend.
According to Deborah, his last words were, “Tell everybody I love them.”
Tampa Police Department told NBC News that the homicide did “not appear to be a random act.”
“We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of former Patriot Reche Caldwell. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends,” his former team, The New England Patriots, said in a statement.
