Marla Maples Posts a Pic Of Herself on an Airplane

Marla Maples shared an Instagram post over the weekend saying that she was “grateful” to again be with family — and to be flying.

In the selfie, Marla is seen in an airline seat wearing a mask.

“I choose love… I do not choose fear… I will walk (and fly 😊 🛫) in trust, faith, peace and knowing,” she wrote. “If God is for us who can be against us… no one 🙌.”

Almost instantly, commenters had criticism given the fact that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has serious concerns about flying — however, it’s important to note that the agency hasn’t mandated anything about Americans not flying domestically.

“Air travel requires spending time in security lines and airport terminals, which can bring you in close contact with other people and frequently touched surfaces,” the CDC states on its website. “Most viruses and other germs do not spread easily on flights because of how air circulates and is filtered on airplanes. However, social distancing is difficult on crowded flights, and you may have to sit near others (within 6 feet), sometimes for hours. This may increase your risk for exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19.”

The CDC also recommends that travelers should wash their hands often, try to keep the recommended six-foot social distance from other people and wear face coverings, among other precautions.

Whatever you might think of Marla, at least it’s clear that she’s abiding by the social distancing rule. That’s a good thing!
