Jennifer Garner is “happy” to see how far her former husband, Ben Affleck, has come since they split in 2015.

A source recently told Us Weekly that the two “have worked hard to get in a good place with each other.”

That being said, Jennifer is “always polite and trusts Ben and lets him do what he wants when he’s with the kids.”

The former couple called off their 10-year marriage in June 2015, but their divorce wasn’t finalized until the end of 2018. They share daughters Violet, 14, and Seraphina, 11, and son Samuel, 8.

“Although it’s sad in a way to see him move on and be so happy, she is ultimately happy that he is happy and in a good and healthy place with his life,” the insider told Us. “That’s what she ultimately wants for the father of her kids.”

These kinds of journeys are never easy, but we’re happy that all things led to a good place.
