Princess Beatrice’s Royal Wedding in May is Canceled Due to the Pandemic

Princess Beatrice’s royal wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has officially been canceled.

According to People magazine, the anticipated event is no longer going to move forward due to the lockdown in the U.K. amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 31-year-old royal is the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. She was set to wed the 37-year-old financier at St. James’s Palace in London on May 29.

Of course, her grandmother Queen Elizabeth was going to host a reception in the gardens at Buckingham Palace. That would have been super cute!

“There are no plans to switch venues or hold a bigger wedding. They aren’t even thinking about their wedding at this time. There will come a time to rearrange but that’s not yet,” a spokesperson for the couple told People.

Well that sucks, but better safe than sorry!
