George Stephanopoulos Tests Positive for COVID-19

George Stephanopoulos tested positive for coronavirus over the weekend, two weeks after his wife, Ali Wentworth, confirmed her own diagnosis and recovery.

The Good Morning America host has been working from home and told his co-hosts this morning that his diagnosis is “really no surprise,” and he has been “basically asymptomatic.”

“I’ve never had a fever, never had chills, never had a headache, never had cough, never had shortness of breath,” he said.

This is a big contrast to Ali’s experience, which she said was “pure misery.”

“She’s going on her fifth day now with no fever, which is really a great sign,” George said of Ali. “Slowly getting out of bed a little bit more each day, so really happy about that.”

Take care of yourself, George.
