Tyler Perry is truly an angel.

The media mogul has been secretly picking up the tab for older shoppers at 73 grocery stores across Atlanta and New Orleans, according to People.

“He wanted to do something special to provide immediate relief for some of the most vulnerable in the two cities he considers home,” a source told the outlet.

Furthermore, Tyler picked two regional chains: 44 Kroger stores in Atlanta and 29 Winn-Dixie stores in New Orleans.

The best part? A Twitter user caught happy customers receiving the news at the cash register:
