‘The View’ Host Joy Behar Denies She’s Retiring

Joy Behar is setting the record straight.

The View‘s longtime co-host was reported to be leaving the daytime talk show in 2022 when her contract expires. However, her reps confirmed with Entertainment Tonight that it’s all wrong.

“This is not true,” her rep explained. “Joy was asked what happens at the end of her contract and as she herself made clear in the interview if she’s ‘as fabulous in [2022] as I am now,’ she will be in her seat at the table.”

Joy’s rep was referring to a story Variety repurposed from Ramin Setoodeh’s book Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of ‘The View.’

The passage started with Joy referring to her contract ending in 2022, adding that she doesn’t “see myself staying for more [time]. That’s it! I could be wrong.”

However, Joy’s rep pointed out that the excerpt continued to read: “If I’m as fabulous in [2022] as I am now, I’ll think about [it].”

Apparently, she thought about it! She’s never leaving (we hope).
