Linda Tripp, Dead at 70

Linda Tripp, the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky whistleblower, has died at the age of 70.

While it’s not been confirmed what the cause of death was, her daughter told TMZ that it is not COVID-19.

“My mommy is leaving this earth,” her daughter wrote in a Facebook post on Tuesday, one day before she died. “I don’t know myself if I can survive this heartache.”

Of course, Linda was the woman who ignited the impeachment of President Bill Clinton while working at the Pentagon.

She befriended Monica Lewinsky, who was at that time a White House intern, and recorded a conversation with her where Monica was talking about her affair with Bill.

In 1997, Linda combined 22 hours worth of recordings and handed it over to special prosecutor Ken Starr, thus igniting the downfall.

Ouch. Well, whether we like it or not, she is part of American history. We’re sending all our love to her family.
