Kylie Jenner is the World’s Youngest ‘Self-Made’ Billionaire For The Second Year in a Row
Yet again, Kylie Jenner is the world’s youngest self-made billionaire, according to Forbes magazine’s “World’s Youngest Billionaires” list.
Reportedly, her Kylie Cosmetics brand brought her net worth up to $1 billion. Others on the list like Snap cofounder CEO Evan Spiegel and Stripe’s John Collison are also considered “self-made” billionaires.
In a 2018 interview with Forbes, Kylie said she invested $250,000 of her own money to pay an outside company to produce the first 15,000 lip kits that eventually launched into her cosmetic line.
“I said, ‘I’m ready to put up my own money. I don’t want to do it with anyone else,’” she said at the time.
Then in 2019, Kylie sold a 51 percent stake in Kylie Cosmetics to beauty giant Coty Inc. for $600 million.
