Anna Wintour gave an update about how COVID-19 is impacting her family, specifically her son Charles Shaffer, who is a doctor.

The fashion icon posted a video announcing Vogue‘s “Common Thread” initiative in partnership with The Council of Fashion Designers of America to support the fashion community throughout the pandemic.

“My son is a doctor,” she said in the clip. “He is currently quite ill and self-quarantining at home. But when he is able, he will return to the ICU at his hospital.”

She continued: “I am so proud of him and so grateful to all the health workers, first responders, nurses and doctors who are fighting to reduce the spread of the virus and save lives.”
