According to Donald Trump, he and former Vice President Joe Biden had a “friendly conversation” yesterday about the federal government’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

“He had suggestions,” Trump said at a press conference. “It doesn’t mean that I agree with those suggestions, but certainly he had suggestions.”

Biden’s Deputy Campaign Manager and Communications Director Kate Bedingfield said in a statement to People magazine, “[Joe Biden] shared several suggestions for actions the administration can take now to address the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and expressed his appreciation for the spirit of the American people in meeting the challenges facing the nation.”

Furthermore, Trump said he and Biden made an agreement not to disclose what they talked about in their 15-minute phone call.

According to Reuters, Biden’s campaign had been trying to set up the phone call since last week.

Whatever was said in the call, we hope and pray it will pay off for the sake of the nation.
