‘Tiger King’ Star John Finlay Wants Channing Tatum to Play Him

Talk about the role of a lifetime!

Since it’s been announced that Netlflix’s popular docuseries Tiger King is being adapted into a scripted series, John Finlay has his sights set on a couple of A-list actors to portray him.

John told People magazine that he’d want Channing Tatum to play him! Can you see it?

“He’s always had a special place in my heart,” John said of Channing. “He did a shout-out to my distant cousin; she died of stage-four brain cancer. When he did his shout-out, he did it because it was on her bucket list.”

John’s cousin died about six years ago at 18 years old, and she had requested a kiss from Channing — which he granted in a personalized video message sent to her.

“He has a special place in my heart because of that,” John reiterated, adding, “But he’s [also] a really good actor, and a lot of people are putting names out there with him in it.”

Given that Kate McKinnon is set to star in the series, we’re sure it won’t take much convincing to snag Channing as well!
