Mark Ronson Wants a Hip-Hop Version of ‘A Star is Born’
We couldn’t agree more, Mark!
According to Page Six, award-winning music producer Mark Ronson, who won a Golden Globe for Lady Gaga’s hit “Shallow,” which was featured in the film A Star is Born, pitched a hip-hop version of the movie.
Mark made the semi-jokey pitch at the Stand With Us benefit for arts nonprofit Baxter St.
“People forget that Mark’s musical roots are in hip-hop and that’s why he was at the party,” a source told the outlet.
To be honest, it’s kind of a brilliant idea! It’d be like 8 Mile, only with a woman. Who do you think should play the star?
