Ben Affleck Remembers Matt Damon Being ‘Jealous’ of Him as a Child Actor
Even the best of friends can get a little jelly.
In an interview on an upcoming episode of SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, Ben Affleck spoke about his early friendship with Matt Damon as well as his career as a child actor.
“One, it instilled in me a deep love and affection for this art and craft and line of work,” he said of those years, “and it made Matt Damon so incredibly jealous, and drove him into a career in cinema. So I really take credit for that.”
Of course, Ben and Matt grew up together in Boston and have been best friends throughout their youth. Together, they went on to co-write Good Will Hunting, which won them an Oscar.
Last year, it was reported that the duo was co-writing a new film called The Last Duel, which should be out later this year.
