Talk about a story for a Hollywood movie!

Shania Twain recently opened up to AARP magazine about how she met her current husband Frédéric Thiébaud.

Apparently, it all began in 2008 when her ex-husband, Robert “Mutt” Lange, was having an affair with Frédéric’s then-wife, Marie-Anne Thiébaud. To make matters even more dramatic, Marie-Anne was also Shania’s personal assistant and close friend.

Frédéric was the one who exposed the affair to Shania. The singer said in the interview Marie-Anne had previously assured her that it was “absurd” that Robert would cheat on her.

Mmhmm….

“It’s twisted,” Shania said in the interview about their love story. “But so beautifully twisted.”

After Shania and Robert divorced, she said she went into a deep depression, during which she leaned on Frédéric.

“There were days I didn’t really care if tomorrow came,” she said. 

They eventually got engaged in 2010 and married a year later. 

Wow! Ain’t love just… wonderful?!
