‘Glee’ Star Mark Salling’s Ex-Girlfriend Breaks Her Silence About His Suicide

The ex-girlfriend of Mark Salling, the former Glee star who died by suicide two years ago, opened up in a recent interview with The Post.

Georgie Leahy told the paper that she was having a manicure when the news broke that Mark had taken his own life, and she “collapsed in the nail salon.”

Georgie and Mark had split nearly two years before — after he was accused of possession of child pornography.

Mark pleaded guilty to the crime in October 2017, and three months later, in January 2018, he killed himself six weeks before he was due to be sentenced.

“What happened with Mark evoked so many complex feelings,” she told The Post. “I didn’t feel like I had permission to hurt because of everything he was accused of.”

The former couple had met in March 2015 at a birthday party in the Hollywood Hills for actor Kellan Lutz.

“I overheard this guy talking about how his legs were aching because he did a ‘leg day,’” she recalled to The Post. “I asked him, ‘Are you a personal trainer?’ And he looked at me funny. Then we just started talking and exchanged numbers.”

She didn’t realize who Mark was until a few weeks later, when they had their first date.

“I was like, ‘Oh, my God, I’m on a date with Puck,” she said of Mark’s character on Glee.

“He was an excellent pianist and sang me his original music and covers such as Justin Bieber’s ‘What Do You Mean?’” she said. “Whenever I hear the song now, I’m transported back to being with Mark.”

The two ended up having an up and down relationship, until the very end when everything exposed itself.
