Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler have called it quits after almost nine years of dating.
A source confirmed with People that they broke up soon after fans began to question their status when neither of them posted photos together during the holiday season.
The pair began dating in September 2011, and while it was obvious they didn’t spend the holidays together, we know she posted a sentimental post to him in August for his birthday.
“Happy birthday to my love, my other half, my constant inspiration and supporter. My best friend. My everything,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.
So basically, we don’t know what happened between August and the holidays. But one thing is for sure: We’ll probably find out soon!
