‘Saved by the Bell’ Sequel Found It’s Lead: Josie Totah!

How exciting is this?! The Saved by the Bell TV sequel has cast its lead Josie Totah, who broke out starring in Champions.

The series is expected to launch this year on NBCUniversal’s forthcoming streaming platform, Peacock.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that its original stars Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley will reprise their roles as A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano.

The single-camera comedy is exploring what happens when California Governor Zack Morris (played by Mark Gosselaar) gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools and proposes the affected students be sent to the highest-performing schools in the state — including Bayside High, THR reports.

Josie stars as Lexi, a beautiful, sharp-tongued cheerleader and the most popular girl at Bayside High who is admired and feared by her fellow students.

We don’t know about y’all, but we think this is going to be so good!
