Sharon Osbourne Fired an Assistant After He Saved Her Paintings From a House Fire

During an appearance on the British game show Would I Lie To You?, Sharon Osbourne told a story where she claimed to have fired a personal assistant for failing to “have a sense of humor” about a house fire.

The Talk cohost told panelists that she and husband Ozzy had lit a Christmas candle and gone to bed, then woke up to a fire alarm.

Sharon went to wake Ozzy’s assistant in the guest house, apparently telling him: “Get out. Help. Go in, get the paintings out.”

She went on to explain that when the EMT arrived, she took the oxygen mask off the assistant and put it on her pet. She later fired the assistant when she and Ozzy were later recounting the incident with a good laugh.

The assistant, according to Sharon, wasn’t laughing. He was pissed. That’s when Sharon decided to lay it down.

“I said, ‘Well, if you didn’t find that funny, how about this — you’re fired,'” Sharon told him.

Now, the host is facing backlash on social media over the incident. We guess we’re going to have to wait till she makes a statement on her show about it.

We can’t imagine people will be miffed for long.
