It certainly is the end of an era. Willie Nelson has quit weed!

The country legend has been known for his love of marijuana for decades, and now he told KSAT TV: “I have abused my lungs quite a bit in the past, so breathing is a little more difficult these days and I have to be careful.”

“I don’t smoke anymore — [I] take better care of myself,” he added.

Willie has had a hell of a time, too. After all, legend has it he smoked weed on the roof of the White House! His smoking habit was so intense it apparently inspired the Toby Keith song, “I’ll Never Smoke Weed With Willie Again.”

Bright side? Willie is 86 years old and STILL looking great.
