Yvette Nicole Brown Adopted A Dog From the ‘Lady and the Tramp’ Set

Yvette Nicole Brown plays Aunt Sarah in the Disney Plus remake of Lady and the Tramp, but while her character hates dogs, it’s clear that in real life she adores them!

“Sarah don’t like dogs. Yvette does,” she told People magazine. “Every day on set, I had to yell at beautiful, innocent puppies, which was horrible for me as a person but I think it was hilarious.”

As we previously reported, all the dogs featured in Lady and the Tramp are rescues. Once filming was over, Yvette loved one of the pups so much that she decided to adopt him.

“[The trainer] didn’t just let people grab a dog,” Yvette told the outlet. “She watched you the entire run of the show and at the end she goes, ‘I think I have your dog.’ I said ‘Oh! Who is it?’ and she says, ‘Harley is your dog.'”

“She was 100 percent right,” she continued. “Harley is my dog. I love him. He’s a maniac, but I love him.”

How wonderful is this?! Hopefully the movie will inspire other wannabe dog owners to adopt.
