Ouch… Luann de Lesseps Says People Were Relieved When Bethenny Frankel Left ‘RHONY’

Countess Luann de Lesseps is not acting very countess-like in her recent interview on Sirius XM’s The Jenny McCarthy Show.

The Real Housewives of New York star said the cast on the show was glad Bethenny wasn’t returning, claiming they look forward to getting their spotlight.

“I think the whole cast is relieved in a way,” she said. “It also leaves breathing room for other women to shine and show their personalities because a lot was Bethenny coming in and stealing the show.”

It was announced in August that Bethenny wasn’t returning to the show so she can focus on her daughter Bryn as well as her production partnership with Mark Burnett.

However, rumors were circulating that Bethenny really left because Bravo wouldn’t give her the salary she wanted.

“She is in a relationship that I don’t think she wants to bring around on the show,” Luann added of Bethenny’s relationship with real estate exec Paul Bernon.

She added that she will miss Bethenny’s “challenging” friendship, saying, “Let me tell you, when she tanked in her talk show, she came back with her tail between her legs to Housewives… God, if I had a dime for every Skinny Girl party I had to promote, and then she can’t even promote my cabaret show and be happy about it.”

The shade of it all!
