John Cena Is Donating $500K to First Responders of California Wildfires

John Cena is using his dollars to make a big difference.

The wrestler-turned-actor said he is donating half a million dollars to the first responders battling the California wildfires.

“In times like this, when people are giving their lives and working around the clock, what they need from us is resource,” he said in a video posted on Twitter. “This is the right thing to do and I’m doing my part to help the cause.”

The pledge is in honor of his new comedy Playing With Fire, which is centered around a team of firefighters babysitting three young siblings.

“California is in dire straits. It is burning,” he added. “It is under siege from massive wildfires statewide, which means our first responders are working around the clock and they need our help.”

We love you, John.
