Is Selena Gomez Talking About Justin Bieber in Her Single, ‘Lose You to Love Me?’

Selena Gomez is clearly done playing nice about her past with Justin Bieber.

The pop star just released “Lose You to Love Me” yesterday as well as its black-and-white music video shot entirely on an iPhone. In the song, she seems to go after Justin — who recently got married to Hailey Baldwin.

Some of her lyrics include: “You promised the world and I fell for it / I put you first and you adored it / Set fires to my forest / And you let it burn / Sang off-key in my chorus / ‘Cause it wasn’t yours,”

First of all… it’s kind of obvious she’s talking about her and Justin’s collab, “Can’t Steal Our Love.”

Other lyrics are: “I saw the signs and I ignored it / Rose-colored glasses all distorted / Set fire to my purpose / And I let it burn / You got off on the hurtin’ / When it wasn’t yours, yeah… We’d always go into it blindly / I needed to lose you to find me / This dancing was killing me softly / I needed to hate you to love me, yeah.”

She adds: “In two months, you replaced us / Like it was easy / Made me think I deserved it / In the thick of healing, yeah.”

Furthermore, Hailey took a screenshot of Summer Walker’s song “I’ll Kill You” and posted it to her Instagram story shortly after Selena released the single. What is happening, y’all?

At the end of the day, here’s what we think: Justin is happy with Hailey. Selena is doing wonderful work by turning her pain into purpose (and has done a fierce job). So, when we all look back at this, we’re going to see that it was all meant to be. Can we have a cocktail already?
