Let’s face it… Kaitlynn Carter hasn’t had the greatest year. First, she split up from Brody Jenner and eventually started hooking up (and dating) Miley Cyrus. Then she and Miley broke up soon after.

Now, Kaitlynn is getting real on Instagram, replying to a user, “Well I’ve been through some sh*t” after the user implied that she’s been looking too thin in selfies lately.

The comment came after the blogger had originally posted an old photo of the night she first launched the blog Western Wild.

“That little website led to a lifetime’s worth of happy memories and led me to what my life in LA has become today,” she wrote.

“Filled with vibrant, smart, driven, loving, inspiring, thoughtful friends and colleagues that I really consider family. I never could’ve imagined, on the day this photo was taken, how blessed beyond measure I would feel in the coming years to have the experiences I’ve had with the people I’ve had them with. I am so grateful.”
