Terrence Howard Gets Emotional Speaking About Jussie Smollett

Terrence Howard broke down in tears while speaking about Jussie Smollett and the final season of Empire

The actor showed his emotions while speaking with Extra‘s Billy Bush about Jussie’s early departure from the Fox series, as well as the scandal surrounding the actor’s alleged hate crime hoax.

“Jussie has been the heart of the show. He’s been my son for six years and I miss my son,” Terrence said, before excusing his tears with: “We can’t help it. This is real life that we’re talking about.”

Jussie played Jamal Lyon since the beginning of the show, but earlier this year he claimed he was the victim of a racist and homophobic attack in Chicago. In March, he was indicted by a grand jury on 16 counts of disorderly conduct for allegedly filing a false police report. He pleaded not guilty and all charges were later dropped.

Now, the FBI is investigating why the charges were dismissed.

Terrence, who recently said that he was retiring from acting, is such a good soul. We love you Terrence!
