Y’all… Demi Moore’s memoir Insight Out is too much. We’re learning some really deep things about the beloved actress’s past.

“It was rape and a devastating betrayal revealed by the man’s cruel question, ‘How does it feel to be whored by your mother for $500?’” she wrote in the book.

In the book, she revealed she was raped at 15 by a man who then paid her alcoholic mother $500. She elaborated on the incident while speaking to Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America.

However, in the interview she reiterated that she does not believe her mother intentionally “pimped” her out, like the man said.

“I think in my deep heart, no,” she told Diane in response. “I don’t think it was a straightforward transaction, but she still did give him the access and put me in harm’s way.”

Furthermore, Demi also writes in Inside Out about leaving home with zero cash and zero experience with acting to pursue her career in Hollywood. She eventually landed a role in General Hospital at 19 years old.
