Gwen Stefani is having a difficult time after her youngest child, Apollo, recently started kindergarten.

“School started,” the singer told Entertainment Tonight. “I got a baby in kindergarten now and that was devastating. But he’s so excited and he’s doing so well. I got [two in] junior high. God gave me all three boys. I’ve always been surrounded by boys.”

Gwen shares Apollo with her ex Gavin Rossdale — as well as his older brothers Zuma, 11, and Kingston, 13. Now she’s with Blake Shelton, who is actually great with the kids!

“He’s extremely close with them,” a source told Us Weekly in June. “Blake loves getting dirty with the boys. They’re always playing basketball or running around. They love it [at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch] because it’s just the five of them out on the land, hunting or hiking.”

As far as Gavin goes, he’s just grateful that he and Gwen are excellent co-parents. He told Us Weekly earlier this year, “You know, we both manage to feed them and get them to school on time, more or less! They are doing really good. They’re really happy, and that’s it. We’re doing the best we can.”

Don’t ya love a good family story?!
