OMG! Gillian Anderson Is Playing Margaret Thatcher in ‘The Crown’ Season 4
The X-Files star Gillian Anderson is padding on the hairspray on the next season of The Crown. And we can’t even begin to explain how excited we are!
Gillian was just cast as a young Margaret Thatcher for Season 4 of the Netflix period drama, which is already in production.
“I am so excited to be joining the cast and crew of The Crown and to have the opportunity to portray such a complicated and controversial woman,” she said in a statement. “Thatcher was undoubtedly formidable but I am relishing exploring beneath the surface and, dare I say, falling in love with the icon who, whether loved or despised, defined an era.”
The Crown season 3 is premiering Nov. 17 on Netflix. And the next season will likely be in the fall of 2020.
